Bob, you should do a video about the history of the lagoon and how it flows to the river. I've always wondered about that.

How come no sound

It's heavier than it looks. Most of the surfers who surf here are good, pushing the takeoff spot to the deepest possible place, which is right in front of some pretty serious rocks. The risk of falling on takeoff and avoiding rocks while taking the remaining waves in a set makes it heavy. Honestly shot from above the waves looks smaller than it is. Been at least two decades since I surfed here but looks like I remember it.

Thanks for this - it's amazing and it looks like they're having a blast. I have the worst luck with this sort of thing. I've been to Turtle Bay twice - never saw a turtle. I've lived in the Seattle area for 60 years - never seen a whale.

Not sure what happened to it. Larry sold it before he died. At some point after he died it vanished from the property.

I’m surprised that all the broken concrete hasn’t been removed from the first building’s garage. Still piles of demolition debris scattered everywhere.

Cement is the dry powder, mixed with the aggregates sand and water is the final concrete mix of everything wet or dry.

Weird how in the movie the 'open house' scene Elvis's room appeared so much bigger. How did the shoot the doorway scene w/ so little room? The entry door was on the right. Was the show outside? Would love to see an architectural layout of the room.

Looking forward to seeing the completion of the property. Hopefully it will be quick.

For many years I stayed with family for several weeks at a sea side… condo less than a half mile from coco palms! This was our daily view from our lanai! Nothing on earth more peaceful and relaxing!!

I’m so thankful I took my Dad to Kaua’i before he passed away. He grew up in Tuscaloosa,AL & had his best bud pass away inside the USS ARIZONA. After O’ahu we went to Poipu Beach & stayed at the (then) Hilton (we’re talking late 60’s). I am an airline retiree but my very first “free trip” was to COCO & Kaua’i …. I remember how it too my breath away when I saw the hotel nestled amongst ALL THOSE PALMS. And the FOOD was outa sight!! Then as night would roll in those guys would run along the lagoon’s edge s to light all those torches & the WATER!!!!! The bluest I have EVER seen….Bob, THANK YOU for sharing those waves…once again!

Notice it's not beautiful anymore. I have taken two recent trips to Hawaii and another in 1991. Whites used to maintain the island but now it has become overrun by brown skin peoples. Everyone comment how much a s-hole it is now, compared to the 60's, 70's and 80's.
